I Miss Your Magic Eyes
When you look at me with those sad eyes
My eyes begin to water
I don't know why you are so sad
I stroke your face with the back of my hand
And wrap my arms around your neck
You do not respond to my touch
When the words fall out of my mouth
"What's the matter babe?"
Your lips do not part
You do not answer
How much I miss your magic eyes
They like to come out on the darkest of days
But today they do not shine
They refuse to make me smile
On a day like today I feel those magic eyes will not show
A single tear falls down your face
Looking down at the ground
You say to yourself "why not me?"
slowly standing up to walk away
Placing flowers at my feet whispering "I love you"
As I watch you sulk away
I want to run after you to tell you it will all be ok
To kiss your lips just one more time
But you cannot feel me anymore
I am stuck here waiting at this rock
Waiting for you to return to me again
