Spark
We are all craving a spark
A dim speck of light
Whatever it may be
To tell us what’s right
But nothing ever comes
We sit day after day
Waiting and waiting
Slowly fading to gray
And one day we wake up
Know it doesn’t exist
And we waste all this time
And near end you are pissed
But you sit and you wonder
Why regret what I did
I am who I am
And I’m no longer a kid
I have control over me
And what goes around
I can either stand up
Or live on the ground
Live each day as an experience
Every moment, something to cherish
Because in the end of your life
The time you spent waiting will perish
And every time that it rains
You sat there inside
Thinking “nothing to do”
“The rain will subside”
But that’s not what life is
You have to attack it and win
Otherwise
You don’t know what it could have been
So we sit here and wait
Like there’s a light in that dark
But our eyes will adjust
Forget about that spark
