Identity Unknown
The girl looks into the mirror,
And tries on a smile,
A fake, halfhearted grin,
Hardly worthwhile.
But into the glass,
She continues to gaze,
Puffing up her hair,
In a confused sort of haze.
Now the girl frowns,
Trapped in her reflection.
Her real thoughts, her real feelings,
Are now out of her detection.
She is no longer herself,
But some sort of clone,
A robot to others' thoughts,
Identity unknown.
