These Lips
Please stop. Don't sweep me off my feet
This heart's forgotten how to beat
and no, don't say those words to me
I've just forgotten what they mean
Please don't tell me that you're mine
my ears don't remember, but that's just a line
and I may know enough to reason
but never enough to act
so don't tell me that you love me
or that I'm the one you miss
or these lips that have forgotten how to love
will soon forget how to kiss
and the shell of my body will fill the void
and you can play my heart as a personal toy
