The Darkness
I’m scared of the dark
Its fear in the worst form Bickering in silence with the light Holding on tight to the light switch
Please let it go, I’m afraid of you.
With a purpose so simple as to frighten us
Intimidation can not compare,
To the dark Lying In bed,
with that awkward silence The dark has brought to us And night hides its shadow,
So that it can not in vision
I’m scared of the dark
Pushing the sun and daylight away, Hurting the stars and moon,
The dark has its way to make us pay
With you the dark, I can not pay. You are fear in its greatest form, You have ways to make us cry
Why can’t you hear those little kids’ whines, their sighs
It comes every night
Because of you, the dark
Why do you scream and hurt and whisper and deceive
In our itching ears I can hear your lies in no light
Like a blind mice, I just can’t see you.
You have a mind of your own, I know.
You’re loosing control And I can not help that I hear you reminiscing all throughout my nights
You’ll be gone and found
And all fears would be taken away Standing alone as daylight, What a sight, what a song
Please leave, no good is being done with you around.
Let go of my light switch, and close the mouth of screaming dark sound.
