Truth Be Told
Truth be told;
I have bite marks on my tongue
From the words that were never said,
I have butterflies fluttering in my stomach
‘Cause I can’t get him out of my head.
Truth be told;
My sense of feel is slowly being lost
From my lack of his soft gentle touch,
My heart begins turning inside-out when he comes around
‘Cause it’s pounding way too much.
Truth be told;
When I hear his voice, so deep and steady,
I loose myself control in what I say and what I do,
When I look into his eyes, so dark and sexy,
I speak one too many words that say what’s true.
Truth be told;
I’ve fallen quite hard for this friend of mine,
But he won’t understand the emotions that build up in me.
He’s fallen quite in love with this girl he knows,
Now it’s just me and a carved heart in a tree.
