"Give in to love, or live in fear."

You think I'm just an ignorant child,
that I don't know what the world holds,
You think I'm oblivious of the pain, of the hurt.
You only know jealousy, anger, and pain.
Why wouldn't I want Utopia?

You live in a world of taxes and busy schedules.
I know this world,
But it is not my life's focus.
I look at the good in life, at what could be.
Why wouldn't I want Utopia?

I've lived in this world of hurt, where pain rules.
I know what it's like to face this horrible truth.
I don't want to face it.
But that doesn't make me ignorant.
I know the truth.
But I couldn't face it.
Look at the world that you live in.
Why wouldn't I want Utopia?

The author's comments:
I just wrote this, the inspiration was my boyfriend. He told me that he was growing up (he's two years older than I)and that he's a realist while I live in my own fantasy world. I thought about how I don't live in my world, I just don't always dwell on the bad things like he sometimes does, but I look at what could be, or what could happen and how good we could make things in the future. I hope you guys like it.
