Pills
She sits in a room by herself
the curtains closed and the lights down low
she has her eyes closed and she sways to the music
she trys to black out the images of the day
trys to forget the way they looked at her
the way he looked at her.
and the pain killers are right by her side
the bottle 3/4 empty already
but they dont relieve the pain
she pulls her knees to her chest
slowly rocking as hot tears roll down her cheeks
shes been trying so hard.
so hard to be good enough
to be normal
but it seems no matter how hard she trys
she ends up back alone in her room
a open bottle of pills her only comfort.
