"Hold your head high, gorgeous"
It's a spinning, spinning circle;
You promised yourself you wouldn't get involved.
Not again, and definitely not like this.
Yet the tempting siren begs you to heed its call.
Either way, it's a dead end trap.
And you're caught up in something
that you had no intention of being caught up in ever again.
But the temptation's good-
While it lasts.
Who knows how long that will last.
But you hold your head high,
Ignore the jeers of that malicious crowd,
And when all else fades to dust
And the siren has tired of its prey:
You do not falter.
You do not cry out.
You carry on.

This poem was written during one of my suppressed days- those infamous highschool days when it seems all the world is against you (though, in my case, all the world WAS against me. At least, most of the school and more of the viscious circle) Haha, it's funny to see how negative things can suddenly turn into a burst of inspiration (:
