Tug. It's You.
The autumn leaves fall
and the ground revels in the colors.
It looks so infinite,
I want to jump in.
I’m not sure what’s holding me back.
Tug.
It’s you.
You’re holding on to my sleeve...
You tell me it’s not worth it.
You say that when I am able to regret,
I will.
But I don’t want to listen.
It looks so perfect.
I want to be a part of it.
Tug.
This time you grab my hand,
and stand by my side.
You tell me everything is already perfect.
You tell me that if I go, you’ll go in too.
But I don’t want you to come with me.
I want the colors to be mine.
Tug.
The autumn leaves fall,
and the ground revels in the colors.
It looks so infinite,
I’m about to jump in.
Gusts of wind spur the air around us,
and as I lean over the edge the pavement clears,
and the concrete is before me.
Tug.
But you were holding on all the time.
And I fell into your arms.
