The Topic of Discussion
The topic of discussion is one of little words,
one with no meaning,
no purpose,
except the one it proceeds to be.
The topic of discussion is not a conversation,
it is not a love letter,
it is not a book,
it is not a poem.
The topic of discussion is what we make it to be,
what it chooses to be,
what we choose to be.
And if we choose to be something that we are not meant to be,
then the topic of discussion ceases to be.
If we choose to be another life,
another story,
another being,
then when all ends and we are left with just ourselves and others,
we will wish we had a topic to discuss.
