When the Little Boy Fell
who the hell can tell?
when the little boy fell
what was right what was real and what's wrought?
i see now the season
of bleeding and treason
that he tried to forget all for nought
for who can forget when the little boy let
his life crumbling down into ash
was it not is own doing? ensuing? confusing?
or was it everone else that did lash?
who the hell can tell?
when the little boy feel
oh he fell so hard and so fast
and years it took! years to stand up!
right out of that cold iron cast
for he was asail
in Misery's wail
and loneliness, tears were his mast
oh did he suffer in his terrible strife
in his quest to see land once at last
for seven long years he embraced all his fears
and was being swallowed by the kraken so
Hate's long tentacles came up from the dark!
wrapped round and around this poor fellows ark!
Its beak in the boat it was sure that this bloat was to die with this hand in his mark!
But how he struggled and bellowed and tustled down below with the demon so long
for sure he was lost to the demon's foul arts
for sure he was part of the dark
he swam in the seas
and he crawled on his knees
he gasped and he fluttered and drowned
deeper and deeper did the little boy fall
Loneliness and Misery 'round
they talked to him, fought with him, grabbed, stabbed, and jabbed with him
he wrestled and tried for so long
to undo the knestle of such a warm and uncomforting home
he screamed and he shreiked on his way down to the peaks
and was so long forgotten, so long.
but soon did he loom from the bottom's cacoon
he walked and he jumped in the song
as part of the dark he could see it's damned arts
he almost fell in love with it so
but soon did he begin to remove himself from sin
to swim up out of black with his heart
he grasped for it tightly and daily and nightly he swam for his life in the waves
the crowning of drowning was oh so surrounding, he tried and he tried to be saved
he was almost there now but how soon and soon how did he fall back into the sway
for 7 long years did he swim in his kingdom
the Duke of the black masquerade
but finally one day he heard a new voice say
"you are meant to discover new ways"
and this voice shouted loud
here could hear it somehow
all the way down the sinister sleigh
illumination, salvation from so many kinds of deprevation
he just had to hold tight and hold fast
so he latched on to his heart and gripped hold of the light
and said goodbye, farewell my dear past.
