Behind closed eyes
In a far away place only she sees
Ghostly figures drift
In a time before now
Emotions like shadows
Follow the people
A scene only she could see
It’s only her memory
Her body reacts to each scene
And each of the shadowy emotions
She revisits it time and time again
Till it’s a permanent engraving in her past
