Where are You Now
Where are you now that I need you the most?
You said you'd always be there for me
Someone to lean on in times of need
Someone to protect me from the dark.
You said you'd never leave me,
And yet where are you now?
Where are you now that I've faced this pain?
Something you promised never to cause
A promise so obviously made in vain
You promised to never let anything so
heartless, callous and cold harm me
But I guess you weren't included in that
Because most of the pain I've felt was because of you,
So where are you now?
Where are you now that my world stopped spinning?
Everything around me dark from your empty promises.
The only light coming from a dim lamp on my desk,
made of the promises you have yet to break.
And yet, where are you now that I wait for that light to go out?
