Every Glance
I wish I could speak with my eyes
In a way you would understand
Because I've let my heart be given away
To you, though you are unaware
And since my mouth
Does not want to cooperate
With my heart or with my mind
I wish I could leave it to my eyes
I wish with every glance
you could see the truth
See the me I want to show you
But cannot
I wish my eyes
Could see inside you
And invade your thoughts
The same way you have entered mine
With every glance I wish
My eyes could communicate
All that I feel
All that I think
I wish they truly were
The windows to my soul
And that you would actually look
And pay attention to what you see
