August
The golden days of summer
are passing before my eyes.
The last days of freedom before I go from work to play.
The yearly transition to school,
and the busy outside world.
I’ve lived two months on sun,
moon, clouds, and sky.
Two months of living color in blossoms,
blooms, leaves, and water.
Soon summer will be fall,
fall, winter;
winter, spring;
and the spring, summer.
The seasons come and go with melding in their midst,
the glorious time in the middle where they meet and mix.
