The Future Present
The Present Future
This classroom has many forms
Of pushing all to push themselves
Selves that challenge themselves
To challenge themselves
No longer will we learn from what's taught
But longer we will learn too
The screens we sit behind
Doing what our generation does best
Watching the the screens we sit behind
Focus on the present to be more present
But there cannot be a present without a thought to a future
Lack of person but a thirst for knowledge
Descriptions of the ‘smart kids’ today millionaires tomorrow
Challenge can not be achieved if challenge is not pursued
When challenge is achieved those who seek it
Keep seeking it
“You can not be challenged in an environment
Where nobody wants to be challenged”
Wise words make too much sense when they come from my Mom
Thriving is not thriving when there's nothing to thrive against
Thriving is not thriving when there is nothing to survive against
But is challenge better than thriving?
The rigor changes but the label doesn't
I don't know if I want to find out.
