Stargazing
Sweet sunsets are much sweeter with you,
flooding my eyes with affection.
Yet, the rosy sparkle fades to blue
as I remember fate’s direction.
This summer will be our last, my love,
so savor the days we’ve got.
It’s hard, I know, to rise above
the pain of the ticking clock.
Seconds fly by much quicker than the last,
all my time spent thinking of you.
For the rest of eternity, I shall live in the past,
never once forgetting tonight’s blue.
