young girls like me
I keep seeing the journeys
of other teenage girls on the internet
who have supposedly healed their minds.
They are rid of their demons
they have attained peace
I would normally point out that this is merely a pretense,
a facade perfectly curated for the eyes of young vulnerable girls.
young girls like me.
Except in this case, I want to believe that
they are telling the truth
I want to believe that these girls were able to attain peace.
young girls like me.
Because this would mean
that I can find peace too.
and how could I accuse someone of faking these feelings
when I wouldn't like it if someone accused me of that myself?
how could I accuse these girls?
young girls like me.
I keep seeing the journeys of girls like me
who have healed
on the internet.
Bless their hearts.
