Concert
Crying, listening to Landslide
In August, ten at night I
Wore my dad’s blue flannel
To a rockin’ blues concert
Fireflies and weeds
Poking at my blanket
Goo Goo Dolls rang out
Eagles through the venue
I lay in flare to be the band’s finest
Blue jeans lover girl
I’m 16, I’m dumb
Thinking I’m the main character
I smolder at the supermoon
And pine for affection
Ignoring Dad’s hums out of tune
Waiting for a second of bliss
To rescue me from the plight
Of being an aged teenager
