You crawled out of that infernal purgatory

Ichor raining down your feathers of fallen glory

Tattooed on my back is the emblem of your story

7.

7 is the sin that is carved

Of all the damned sweat I was starved.

Envy, for the story that you forced me to live,

And yet you pathetically still ask me to forgive.

I’ll never forget the peace you took from me

Born frightened, I was forced to flee

Yet again, I see you everywhere, and I’ll never be free.

Pride, for your sharp beak as you hooked me to a table

And cut my skin, my arms, my navel

You made my limbs not too short and not too wide

The maroon way that you eyed my stride

Lust, for when you ripped the teeth out of my mouth

And threw those white silver dollars towards the south

I feel your stench in my throat

Choking on it as your talons gloat

Gluttony, for when you were going to explode

And all the fraud of your volley flowed

I twisted my wrist and signed your heavy contract

And watched as all my hopes and dreams were packed

Greed, for when we had to fight over scraps,

Selling my blood to pay off the tax.

Stealing from the soul of the poor

Because you wanted more than what you miserably had before

Sloth, for when I had to lick up my own spit

Because of the eye you didn’t bother to flit

Even in the darkest parts of that hell

I’m the reason you were able to crawl out of that hole that you dwell

Wrath, because you never learned to breathe

You extinguish underwater, your sins sheathe

Your flames burned the raw meat from my legs

But it’s too bad because you can’t lay eggs.

Half a millennium of reincarnation couldn’t pay for your tragedy,

When you come back people will always flee.

Signed to the Devil, you forgot he keeps your soul at bay,

Discarded by an angel, you made yourself this way.
