sounds like,
breath of wind
exhale the soul
as your eyes dim
sounds like dissatisfaction,
disappointment
in your bones
rattling your legs,
your ears are closed doors
as the world turns
off its lights
for the night
that breath circles
your lifeless abdomen
complicit in its slow trail
as it pulls you under,
waves hitting rocks
punch to your gut,
it ends
when you suck it back in
so do it.
