The Thrill
I blush as you grab my hand.
Of course, it's only because
you're scared of heights.
Our feet dangle.
At least 20 feet in the air.
We whip around at full speed.
A yelp escapes your mouth.
As we plummet towards,
the earth below.
Moments before,
We slam into the ground,
We're pulled back up towards the sky.
This crazy ride is exilarating.
And the thrill only makes me,
hug you closer.
When our feet are back on solid ground.
You release my hand,
and walk away.
I feel empty.
Unwanted.
Alone.
And I will do anything to get you.
Back in my arms.
Even if that means taking you on another ride.
