Losing you
for me, losing you was like when the family pet you've had ever since you were a child died,
losing you was like watching a loved one take their final breath,
like watching your favorite show and wanting more, but it was cancelled halfway through..
losing you was like looking at an old picture of two lovers but their faces were blurred out.
for me, losing you, it was like falling out of love with the world and days became black and white-there was no color in the sky anymore.
the beauty of the fall sky was no longer beautiful, all of the colors looked the same, frozen in time.
winter was bleak, spring didn't hold new life for me; flowers didn't bloom nor did the butterflies come out to play, the birds that once sang their songs, lost their voice like i lost mine
the plans, memories, secrets, songs sung, nights spent together - turn into a lesson that the elementary kids are taught about when they hear the word evaporation.
