A lunar new year
As lunar nights come to a cheery end
the moon filled sky starts to ascend
The laughter of children starts to cease
As parents put their children back into sleep
The once filled streets start to wind down
As business owners give out they’re final treats
I look out into my pound reflecting off the moonlight gleamed
And once again a lunar new year has taken its final breath

This poem is just a fun little project I had for the lunar new year I tried personifying
the lunar night as a breathing entity while also trying to put as many aspects of the lunar night into a single poem. I hope you enjoy it.
