I Rise
Lingering sounds fade,
forts form by bricks,
But here I rise in the eternal silence
Soundly enough to break the forts.
I rise when the lake
Freeze inside people’s heart,
When the chains
Clanging, lock people’s mind.
I rise when the eyes are covered,
When the mouths are sealed.
I rise alone, like a blade spiking into a dirty canvas
Sharply, unstoppingly.
And there will be thousands of me rising
Once I break in the silence
Once I lift my voice up.
