Wildfire Haze
The forest that once lived,
Is now a pile of ashes.
It started out small,
It used to be controlled.
All this cloudy haze,
Is nothing but a craze.
The fire burns bright,
In this uncontrollable phase.
The fire burns wild,
Taking down tree by tree,
Plant by plant,
Creature by creature.
Habitats are now gone.
They’ve been shriveled up,
Like a raisin in the sun.
Thousands of animals,
Now without a place to call home.
The forest that once lived,
Is now a pile of ashes.
It started out small,
And now it’s colonized half the state.
All this cloudy haze
Is nothing but a craze.
The fire burns bright
In this uncontrollable phase.
All I can smell is the fire,
It’s traveled a thousand miles.
It’s been across the country
But it’s burned all its company.
The forest that once lived,
Is now a pile of ashes.
It started out controlled,
And now it’s gone wild.
But it’s just another wildfire.
