Butterfly Blues
I get this feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see her here. The way her hair flows down past her back with grace. The scent of her vanilla and rose-scented perfume (although it makes me sneeze like crazy), is somehow oddly comforting to me. Her gentle eyes are like a big pool of blue that I’m constantly stuck swimming in. Her smile is so bright and white, I think she could cause a roadway accident. But, she never notices me. Not even when I muster up the courage to greet her with a smile when I pass her in the hall on my way to class, she steps straight past me as if I am but a draft of cool air in her midst.

I am a senior in high school (just graduated) and I took a creative writing class that made me grow a love and fondness for poetry. I have always been a Shakespeare Nut.
