Do you hate me?

Do you hate me,
Do you need me,
Do you see me,
Do you want me,
Do you want to know me,
Do you sometimes look up at the sky and wonder why,
Why can’t I be the sky,
I wonder why,
A lot of the time,
I dance in the dark,
To the sound of a broken heart,
With all that is left,
I dance till the end,
They creek in me,
Arthritis has gone to my knees,
It’s hard to dance,
With these swollen knees,
I do it anyway,
But the pain is breathtaking,
I did one spin,
And my leg collapsed,
I tried to leap,
And landed flat on my back.
