Feels of Fall
Walking around the same town I admire the enchanted scenery,
Pretending as if I didn’t come here almost every day,
Just to feel the magical thrill of the leaves falling around me,
And the hypnotizing beauty of this majestic place.
Winter, Spring, Summer and we’re back to Fall,
I notice the dark red, brown, orange, and yellow leaves surrounding me,
Crippling under my black autumn boots as I walk every day,
Around this familiar place, I have waited for and dreamt of for months.
I can’t help but smell the cinnamon and pumpkin-infused air,
As I hear the usual birds chirping and the wind whispering.
I walk up to this old but beautiful vibrant tree,
I feel the light breeze even under my soft white sweater and coat.
I sit down on the subtly moist grass against the tree.
Admiring my hometown, the place I’ve lived in for years.
I pull out of my bag a warm cup of coffee,
And savor every single sip of the warm and delicious drink.
I feel a fire crackling in my heart,
Flames of love, love for this magnificent season.
I proceed to read, read for hours under the shelter of nature.
Under the peaceful haze of amicable colors.
