Belong
I don't think I belong here
And I know what people think when I say that
They think she means this town, this city, this region, this state, this country
The truth is I don't mean any one of those
I mean that I don't belong in this realm
I think I will always yearn for far off adventures
For fairies that fly through the night
For fae that like to play tricks
For dragons that spew fire
For princes who will do anything to save the princess
And princesses that will burn the world down to get what they want
And I know that we all feel at some point that we don't belong
Most people, they grow out of it
They become content with what they have
And stop wishing for childish adventures and magical realms
I refuse to grow content
I refuse to settle for average
I will be amazing and unique
I will explore everything, and have adventures beyond my wildest dreams
And atop everything, I will learn to fly
