The swirl of loneliness sounds like a large room that echoes with every footstep

It's like the color navy blue, not quite black, but not bright enough to notice right away

The color black is too dark for loneliness,

loneliness still holds on hope for someone to fill that void

And although the color navy is dark like a shivering cave,

It still holds that light at the end of the tunnel

That light sounds like little kids laughing on a playground as you observe

And you want to jump in and play but you label yourself as too old.

Old has a bitter taste in my mouth,

But you do not have that taste.

I taste the underlying hints of honey in a hot tea

I know that you can break past that loneliness just as I did once before.

You have to search for that hint of color that leaves a sweet aftertaste on your tongue

You have to grab it and run toward the laughter of the children getting louder

Till you taste the honey dripping off the sun.
