Drugs
Drugs aren't everything
For some people they are
They make you numb
To everything you feel
They won't make you heal
Drug are harmful
For someone who done them
Your pains gone for a little
Then it comes back and haunts you
Drugs aren't everything you imagine
The days now knowing
When you get to shower
Have a good meal
The days spent living in addiction
Aren't something you want
Living on the streets,
Spending all your money,
Stealing from the stores,
To meet your needs
Drugs aren't everything you need

Drugs used to be my world. Now I find comfort in my family and work, and mostly my writing. This world people live in, that their main goal is to get drugs isn't the world I want to live in anymore. That's what this poem is about not knowing what drugs can truly do to a person.
