I wonder, sometimes
If guilt can drown me.
If my conscience becomes too heavy
That dropping it
Is a tempting thought.
I wonder, sometimes
If my words can swallow me.
If my thoughts become so scorching,
It's like burning
In my own brain's screams.
I wonder, sometimes
If diplomacy towards myself,
Can break me in most horrid ways.
If lying to myself,
Is unleashing hell upon my carcass of a shell.
I wonder, sometimes
If my actions can kill me.
If my fatal instincts
Could drive me,
Push me off the cliff.
I wonder, sometimes
If my dreams will come true.
If the stars would listen to me
And I will kiss the sky
Soaring up and high.
For better or for worse,
I wonder, always
For, if, I think,
My existence is not a mere blink
Its worth a wonder, a little thought, a little ween...
