Dreams
Dreams
Dreams are like flowers
Some blossom and bloom
Their beauty shown to the world
Their passion never ending
Seasons change
But still they stand – and they shine
Roses
Ixoras
Verbanas
Dreams are like flowers
Some blossom and bloom
Their petals opening
Colors brightening
They hope to amaze the world
Seasons change
But they die – and they hide
Fearing the world’s eyes
Lilies
Irises
Mine
The beauty overshadows it and it is ashamed
The heat pounds and it withers
The wind blows and it falls
The cold freezes and it breaks
Although beauty lies deep
It fears the world’s eyes
My dreams
My dreams are like flowers

This is a bit more of a depressing poem, and I apologize for that...but for me personally, this is what I feel at this moment. I'm not that good at writing poems so I hope it isn't too cheesy or sound too forced. The main reason I wrote this is because it was an outlet for what I'm feeling at the moment. But I guess this might also speak to some other people as well. Even though this might not be that good of a poem since I'm still pretty inexperienced at it, hopefully, it has some value to the people who read it.
