My Mind
My mind can be filled with wonder and joy,
daydreaming and fun,
but can take a treacherous turn.
It can be dark,
cold,
lonely, until it's not.
It can be with me or against me.
It's ill.
It fills with smoke and blackness,
voices whispering loud about how they want me dead,
questioning every move,
every word,
just to snap back to sunshine and rainbows before I have time to fulfil their wishes.
