And You're worried about love?
She was pure, white as snow, the soul left untouched.
He was tainted, dark as night, soul was touched by the darkest beings.
People would say that destiny would make them meet.
But would they? Would they ever actually meet?
Maybe in a world where questions were answered.
No, this place, it's not fair, it's cruel.
This world is not made for them, it’s made for people with lives.
People who make do with what they have and whom they have it with.
People who work 9-5 jobs and ride the subway to work so they can "save the environment".
People who retire at 65 so they can have 10 years of peace and then die.
People who live paycheck to paycheck, trying to survive.
The world would never part ways with them, they would have to fight.
They would have to become the devils themselves to come together.
But is that what always happens in the end? Do they deserve it?
People have been fighting for love for centuries,
People fight for someone that could turn on them at any moment and kill them.
They fight for a cause that can become the thing they’re fighting for.
Maybe god works cruelly, maybe he’s laughing at us for trying to find love.
Maybe he wants us to play into his cruel game, to become pawns in a bigger war.
Maybe he’s not cruel and gives them a happy ending in the end, but life’s not fair.
People get the short end of the stick more than the long one.
People die before they reach their teen years of cancer.
And you’re worried about love?
It’s pathetic really, sickly pathetic to worry about something that you can find anywhere.
Kids die every day in foster homes, hospitals, and things that are made for them to be taken care of.
And you’re worried about love.
Maybe God was right and you need to be taken out of the equation.
You’re worried about love in a time like this, you're pathetic.
But don’t you worry, you’ll find your happy ending while other people die never knowing love.
Is that ok with you? Are you ok with that?
I know my answer, but do you know yours?

“If you have any young friends who aspire to become writers, the second greatest favor you can do them is to present them with copies of ‘The Elements of Style’. The first greatest, of course, is to shoot them now, while they’re happy.” -Dorothy Parker
