“64”

Crude green light blurred before my tearful eyes.

Air pressing,

buzzing silence against my presence.

Whose face? Who is that in my memory?

Failed to find another crack to hide,

Struck under undetermined morning sunlight.

Thus I lied

“57”

Down,

Back.

I wish mother’s coffee would taste better

If I have a chance.

I didn't teach her.

Jasmine tea and chocolate brownies.

If I have a chance.

“32”

Winter yet spring.

Yet summer I still wait, yet years ahead I would miss.

Would years ever miss me?

“17”

Please. Please. Please

I beg thy,

Please

...

It’s suffocating. This fog is choking me!

“3”,

Oh, reach out to me

Thou,  save me from this incessant cycle of battle

“0”,

Would thou take my hand

And let’s enter the

eternal tunnel of emptiness.

Of Viva void.

This poem is my stream of consciousness about dying. I tried to capture the tension between the strong desire to escape reality and the memories that anchor us to the world.
