Time is a Curse
Time is a curse
Either way, you put it
Put your time first
Or else everything could quit
Whether you want more
Or maybe less
No matter what you want it for
It's the strangest thing we obsess
Say I want more
What will I use it for
Perhaps I'm about to go
Or leave this earth in a whole
Needing more seems greedy
Like second helpings of a feeding
Say I want less
Am I sad or depressed
Maybe I'm not patient
And very upset
Now you can't change any of this
It's not built that way
People who love you need you to stay
The things you do
Make away
Try as you might
Again, you can't change the day
You can't change the night
Even when you put up a fight
So why try
Make use of your time
Don't stop and wonder why
Read any verse
You'll know time is a curse
The amount of times I think, "If only I had more/less time," is alarming. We need to quit obsessing over something we can't control.
