what if i don’t want to stay

laying in bed all alone
crying silently so no one hears me
the warm tears sliding down my cheeks
falling to my pillow case
thinking of all the reasons
i shouldn’t be here
knife in my hand
my eyes locked on my wrist
thinking
how to make the pain go away
i tell myself
who would even care if i’m gone?
just do it already
say goodbye
never come back
watch as i finally slowly fade away
