To poem
From living paragraphs
To mourning and reflective
Verses and sentences.
From an unquiet mind and heart To a vivid piece
Of paper and art.
From words that, alone, would not have as much meaning
As a word with a story to tell.
A point of view was changed,
A life was changed,
A moment was transformed,
And a person was touched.
All of that
Because of the mourns and unsolved issues
From a disturbed mind.
All of that
Because of the power a word can hold.
All of that
Because of fingers or a mouth
That could no longer hold itself from relieving
Feelings and thoughts
Of a living soul.
A soul that
Needed to break free.
A living soul that
Needed to live:
We all need this.
There is no end to a story.
There is no end to a life.
There is no end to a heart or mind.
No end to anything
That once lived,
For its life can keep going
If there is only another
Living heart and mind
To bring back that life.

"To poem" for me is to express myself in a way that that hearts, souls, and minds can be touched and communicate with each other. It is to listen and to sing, scream, mourn, or just speak, not necessarily with your ears but with your self.
