Magic
Someone told me yesterday that magic isn't real.
Have they looked around, seen anything before?
Seen how the sun rises and sets,
each sunset a dazzling spread of color?
Watched the stars on a clear, moonless night,
each star incomprehensibly far
yet close enough for us to see each pulse of light?
Looked around in nature, stood on top of
a mountain and watched the world pass by?
Have they ever been in love?
What have they not witnessed,
that they don't see how beautiful our world is?
"Magic is real," I told them.
"I see it every day.
I see it in you right now."
