Sunrise Sunset
On a morning walk, everything is quiet as a mouse.
Across the way, in the distance, I see a glowing medallion, like a gold medal
One more turn and what to my wondering eyes is ablaze like fire
slowly… peeking… appearing to my view is a celestial fireball in the sky.
On my same walk later that animals have run in the field, like a chaotic stampede.
The fireball in the sky is slowly falling like a shooting star
Until I see it no more and the darkness has arrived like a power outage.
