Trust
The first time I met you was like a dream
You were so funny, so sweet, so kind
Just perfect
I felt as if we could have a genuine conversation
You were the first guy I met who made me feel amazing
You weren’t focused on my body
You were focused on me
I thought I could trust you
I thought I could tell you everything
You and I had the same issues
You should have been the best person to tell
I was wrong
I was stupid
You took my trust
Stretched it as much as you could
Breaking it in two
Just like a violin string tuned too tight
I felt broken
I felt lost
I had no one
I was like a thrown away toy that a child lost interest in
You just moved on to the next unlucky girl
And left me in the dust to waste away
I was pathetic to think I could trust a man

You can’t trust everyone you meet, no matter how amazing they seem on the outside.
