You try every trick in the book to seem normal. You visit special doctors. You go to hundreds of appointments. You learn to swallow all the pills at once until the bitter taste is just a distant memory. You go to the labs. You get poked and prodded. And yet, you don’t complain because you know there are others who have it much worse than you. You wake up every morning and put a smile on your face. You eat breakfast. You drive to school. You fight to make it through the day. You worry that others will see you struggling. You cannot look weak. You hear the constant praise from others-You are so strong! You got this!- but cannot agree with their statements. In fact, everyone thinks you are still normal. But normal is only a distant memory.
