Grief
Grief is like the rivers of a cave,
On the surface, it’s beautifully blue.
But deeper down its a never-ending black hole
Only filled with your thoughts and regrets.
Grief sounds like the sharp
and scary stalagmites in a cave,
dripping the tears of sorrow.
Drip…
Drip…
Drip…
Every second of silence feels like a waste.
Grief tastes like the salt found underground,
The taste of wishing that
You could have done something…
Anything.
Grief smells of a wet cave,
Coal-colored Mold growing and growing,
Until it takes it over.
Grief is like the deepest part of a cave,
A deep
Dark
Dangerous
Place,
seems like there’s no end.
Grief is like a sharp tiny hole to crawl through,
The tiny rocks constantly,
Stabbing you and stabbing you.
Until your heart…
breaks.
