When life gets tough, use music to drown it out.

Dear Dad, Poem Three

I don’t expect a big sincere apology from you

Or for you to even say a half-filled “I’m sorry”

But, I do hope

That when you’re at your deepest and darkest hour

Your all-time low or even when you’re on your nice warm death bed

That somewhere inside of your cold cruel heart

You’ll realize the hell that you put me through

But don’t worry your little heart

I don’t expect a big sincere apology from you

This poem is about my dad. He never apologizes for anything, but hopefully one day he'll realize that he's wrong and that my brother and I deserve better.
