2022 Traditions Contest: Friday Family Movie Nights
The lights are dimming
The popcorn is popping
The kitchen is bursting
With mouthwatering smells
The sisters are squabbling
“It’s my turn to choose the movie”
“No, you picked last week”
And
“That’s one’s so boring”
The parents are eye-rolling
The dog is barking
Wanting to join in on the fun
The blanket is unfolding
The movie is starting
The older sister is groaning
The mother is shushing
A typical Friday night

I chose movie nights for the topic of this because it's one of our most long standing family traditions. It was born out of the pandemic and continues.
