Starry Night
Starry Night
Gleam glow glisten glitter
Like glass
Broke into countless pieces
I felt light
In my mind
I felt
Depressed Repressed Oppressed
Fell down into a cold snowy day
With intense frigid wind
Like knives
Cut my face violently
It started to rain
Chill seeped into all of my veins
Water increasingly stored
Gradually arrived at my chin
Submerged me deeply in pain
Crazy insane grotesque
Such comments
Taken root
No alternative allowed
Look down at my math paper
Unite like terms
Piece up myself
From other’s gossips
Scrape my whole life
From other’s mumbo jumbos
My eyes become
Mirrors to reflect
Others
Hard to find I myself
Like a lake
Full of loneliness
Like falling light
Drowning into blue
Who am I
Need to figure out
Need to set it free
Blood reinfused
Soul fired
Heart revived
Starry starry night
Look out of window
Flowers blazing
Breeze blowing
How’s it going
My dear Vincent
Gleam glow glisten glitter
I felt light
In my heart
Uh-oh wait
I am the light

Everyone has, at one time or another, days when they are depressed and struggling to find themselves. In this poem, I hug myself in the dark night with bright starlight and greet my old friend in the starry sky -- Van Gogh Vincent.
