A Fake Happily Ever After
Everything is changing:
Your friends, turning into strangers.
People you once trusted and believed in,
Unaware of the oncoming dangers.
Nothing will ever be the same.
Hiding your hideous face.
And swallowing your pride.
Because people will only see
Who you are on the outside.
Nothing will ever be the same.
Constant pressure
To be someone
Even you can’t recognize.
Only to hear your so-called friends
Point out your blunders one by one.
Nothing will ever be the same.
As hard as you try,
You will never be
As good as the people you look to.
There will always be
Someone better than you.
Nothing will ever be the same.
Fake smiles,
Fake laughter,
Fake sympathy.
A fake happily ever after.
But amidst that endless gloom,
A spark of hope blooms.
Faith promises change,
Motivating you to begin a new day.
To try all over again.
